July 30th. The Parliament passed the bill, which comes into effect two days later. By now there are about two million people all over the country celebrating this fact: huge gay parade!

A civil union is the legalizing of a “marriage”. Marriage has typically been the term used to mean a religious recognition of a union. It’s ironic that most Americans would consider this country to be all about freedom, and Christianity, and the Ten Commandments, etc., but we are farther than ever from giving gays the right to have legal unions. So much for the much vaunted separation of church and state. So much for the teachings of Jesus. Hey, he wasn’t married by the time he was 30 and hung out with a bunch of guys. No mention of a girlfriend. Do you suppose….?
