Day 4 – Rye Hill to Hedon on the Wall

Early morning
tree in a field

Babooyeah!

I once lived here…
Deep in the jungles down under

Where it's too dark to see who's come to play through the night

Little girls get ratty hair, and boys make for a friendly fright

Fern Gully!

What was the rent?

Uprooted, I see...

All chickens should live like this
Cock and diddly do.

Hmmm…well, I suppose being an antique blogger has pretty much solidified your position way outside of the anachronism zone.

    An Antique Anachronism.

    Letters be loved.

I’m not just “vintage” anymore, Nathan, I’m “antique”. But, thanks for the thought. There are some real advantages to being an antique, as long as one is not an anachronism at the same time.

Hmmm Cait, well I’m not sure. I guess I’d just update your motherboard and get a new graphics card.

Or be happy with the vintage look. Believe me, it’s all the rage.

LOL, Nathan. How many gigapixels would it take to make me look 30 again?

Yeah, I suspect you’d need a 3 Megapixel camera to capture eternity.

Wow, the moody sky over the hay field was captured perfectly. There’s something about the cool green of the forest that the camera hasn’t quite captured. I suspect no camera could capture it. There was a sense of depth that wasn’t just perspective and light and shade and hue. You could feel time here stretching backwards and onwards, curving round eternity.

If we’d lingered any longer tiny roots would have wriggled out of our toes and tried to establish themselves in the springy moss.

When I grow up I want to be a tree.
