Danny’s Kick-Ass Veggie Burger Patties
These are amazingly tasty and spicy veggie burgers that the top supermarket brands just dont come close to. I just found Danny’s recipe in the RV. here you go:
- 1 cup chick peas
- 2 cups water
Boil for 1 1/2 hours until soft but firm Drain excess water Blend in food processor until smooth
- 3 cups lentils
- 4 cups water
- 2 cups oatmeal
- 5 cloves garlic Salt (generous)
- ‘Spike’ (generous)
Boil for approx 20 min until tender Drain any excess water, then mash
Finely grate:
- 1/2 red bell pepper
- 1/2 green bell pepper
- 1 medium onion
- 2 carrots
Mix the lentils, chick peas, and veggies in a bowl, once thoroughly mixed, cool, form into patties. Fry in olive oil over a medium heat 7 min / side Makes approx 8 patties depending on size.
