					<description><![CDATA[I don&#039;t know the  cheers theme tune but the person who wrote that article is an extremely narrow-minded linguist. It&#039;s not true that the word &#039;name&#039; simply refers to the sequence of sounds used to label objects or concepts. It can also incorporate the characteristics, nuances and influence of someone.

For example, if someone says &#039;the war in Iraq has given Tony Blair a bad name.&#039; It does simply mean that everyone has started calling him &#039;the autocratic wanker in charge of the country&#039;, it means that his reputation has been tainted too.

Therefore his/her argument is entirely spurious.]]></description>
