I do remember the red rain scenario briefly… those were strange times.. tremors, wells overflowing or drying up .. and the red rain was thought by pious locals to be a portent of some sort heralding that the end of the world is immeninent 😉

On a more serious note, guess scientific temper is not what it was prev, and also there are not many people who have the interest coupled with the resources to investigate such phenomenon scientifically…
