The IE browser testing nightmare
Every developer knows they can only have one version of Internet Exploder running on their system at a time, which means you need to test your site on multiple machines to see how their site performs across all the different versions.
Well no more! Now you can download and run standalone versions of IE 3, IE4, IE4.01, IE 5.01, IE.5.5 and now even IE 6 (for those who have already installed IE 7 beta over their IE 6)
Find them on Evolt.org’s Browser Archive. While its not all that necessary to download IE 3 – 4 I strongly recommend you ensure your sites work correctly on IE 5, 6 and 7.
Another tool I use frequently is browsercam. You can sign up for a 24 hour free trial and test your site across multiple platforms too.

LOL, Internet Exploder. That’s what we (PD) call the Ford SUV. The Ford Exploder. Seen too many bodies in them. They apparently don’t pass crash tests very well. Sorry if any of you out there have one, but I wouldn’t have one as a gift.

thats mainly what i was thinking, albear. and actually, olivia, i was rather greened and leafed at the time of those writings. sometimes things flow sometimes they don’t. also, computers help with my spelling not the grammer as much but… whatever.

browsercam is ace and works really well.
but the stand alone versions are not an exact replica of IE as they are not connected to the OS, so in several cases i have seen they act completely diffrently to the real one.
its a nice idea. but it dosnt work..
olivia
Wow, seriously? You seem… different. Really sharp and your spelling is perfect. Are you… SOBER?

hrmmmm….. *stroking beard*… this sloppy b fella seems remarkably familiar…

so wait, you can have one of each version running at a time? thats totally sweet! I’m sure you could find other useful things to test with that too.
cool find!

That’s cool – extremely, you should post about that browsercam thing as well… though I’ve seen a bunch of reports that IE5 is less than 1{a9f0d31f6175b3e4775e11a66c07db268fb74408d6095f6b46eeec420c0e9f62} of the population at this point.
