I’ve heard the claws can feel like tiny pins on the way out, and there’s also something about cuddling an unloved unwanted stray that gets all my maternal instincts fiercely in gear. Unfortunately though Nathan is horribly allergic. His face goes all red and swells up. Its adorable but he’s not that into looking adorable.

That’s exactly how my Red wakes me up – well, minus the ear-snapping thing and the baseball bat. But I get the face patting and the him sitting on me, kneading. He’s relentless.
