Ah, but Sweetie, the swooning first blush of love can, over time, evolve into a comfortable, deep, knowing, loving friendship (with fringe benefits, of course!) that is far better than the frenetic obsessive early stages of romance. Romance does not die, it simply adapts itself to day to day living.
