We make our choices, then our choices make us

haha! All the waiting around and complaining and stuff we like to do. Think of something that would be fun to do every day and create our own jobs. I dont want somebody else’s job or their rules. And to wait around for it on top of that?

And if its true about the tax breaks, then go ahead, be your own job creator and do it to get your own tax breaks! YAY! Tax breaks for everyone!

The thing about working for someone is you never get the same value for your time as if you work for yourself. Nobody’s going to pay you what they would rather pay themselves to do. Thats the big obvious secret. The only way to get what you are worth is if you work for yourself, so just cut out the middle man bossing you around, telling you when you get a raise or firing you when they feel you are spent.

Once you realise what’s going on its hard to think that you’re getting a great deal out of it just because they threw in a medical and retirement deal (that youre still paying for anyway). All that said, most people I know would rather have the false sense of security of a “real job” that ties them down and forces them to come into work, even though they know what’s up. They actually say, “But I need to have someone to force me to come to work every day, or I’d rock up at noon and take days off.” So, rock up at noon then. That what I do! haha

I think the temptation there is to remove all responsibility for our lives and place it in someone elses hands, like a boss, or a spouse, or a life coach, or a guru, so that when it all goes pear shaped (which it always does when you live somebody else’s plan for your life), we get to complain bitterly that somebody else wasted your life. Wow. Too bad you were awake the whole time and let somebody else direct you around because you were too scared and/or lazy to do it yourself. Id rather do it myself, my way, and mess up the whole way through life, scrape myself off the pavement and start again a hundred times if that’s what it takes, than lie on my deathbed wishing Id really lived.

If you work for somebody else and LOVE your job, then you’re doing it right! Then its adding to your quality of life. Keep on doing what feels good.

I dont know. Im feeling like we’ve spent a lot of time complaining about things, about the state of the world and that its going down the tubes (Ive heard these complaints all my life — and yes it IS true), about our partners and our lives, but now is the time to grow up and get back into our power. All we really all we need to do is SOMETHING, and to get it done ourselves.
