brothelBlunkett considers making brothels legal
David Blunkett, the UK Home Secretary, is to launch a major review of the law on prostitution, which could include decriminalising brothels in order to clean up the sex industry.

Mr Blunkett has called current laws “outdated, confusing and ineffective,” and is expected to put forward proposals for “tolerance zones” and legal brothels. The consultation document is also likely to propose tightening the law against pimps, brothel keepers and clients, while trying to help sex workers trapped in the industry.
