What is the G8?
The G8 is the ‘Group of Eight’ – a group of leaders from the world’s richest and most powerful countries (US, UK, Russia, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, and Canada). They meet annually to discuss major issues of the day.
These people have the power to Make Poverty History by; cancelling the debt of world’s poorest countries, ensuring trade is just and fair, and increasing and improving the quality of aid given to poor countries.
Join tens of thousands of others on Saturday, 2 July in Edinburgh during the G8 summit to demand trade justice, debt cancellation and more and better aid for the world’s poorest countries.
