Roadtrip

Perfect word, it is. Finally after breaking the Illinois/Nebraska border I started to feel that sense of strange anonymous nowhere where am I? I like that feeling. I don’t want to have a home, or any particular dwelling or plot of land that my mail gets sent to and I wake up at every morning. Who needs a physical address, anyway? I’ve got Gmail.

Besides, you just miss out on so much when you grow accustomed to a place. Talking to people in all of these various locales, they don’t notice what they have around them because it’s always been around them and now it’s just the backdrop whizzing by while they’re trying to get to work on time or sleep away a Sunday afternoon…”
