Are you living your dream yet?
Man, Nathan and Tim are having so much fun! It sucks that I couldn’t go with them. They get access to all these amazing places not normally available to the public and film and hear incredible story after story. Thursday they went to Carhenge, Western Nebraska.

It’s a perfect replica of Stonehenge but made from 38 cars – 3 standing trilithons within the circle, the heel stone, slaughter stone, and 2 station stones, and the Aubrey circle. How cool is that?!
Yesterday they stayed at the Rosebud Sioux Reservation, Central South Dakota – the land of the Sicangu Lakota Oyate and a federally recognised tribe – the real deal. Those guys had a big story to tell.
Exiting Nebraska they came across Van Tassell, the first town you pass as you enter Wyoming along Route 20 – the population has recently exploded to 17 including a Mayor. They arrived to discover they had interrupted the town hall meeting. The inhabitants were overwhelmingly friendly and happy to meet them. I think they wanted to make babies.
These are all places I would have loved to have been. I am so envious and wish I could have gone on this trip, but especially as they will be entering Portland, Oregon soon and meeting Bsti and Niq. Yep – Sock Dreams will be featured in the Route 20 documentary! They’ve been my good friends for years. I can’t believe Nathan gets to meet them first.
Check out what’s happening on the Route 20 blog!
But before I end this post, along one of their stops they bumped into Orb & Kyle of Bike USA 2005. They’re doing a massive bike ride for the American Red Cross across the country following this route from coast to coast. They’re on week 4 already and have a fantastic photo gallery documenting all 8 weeks. This is something I really want to do, and I know Nathan’s been going on since the 60’s about doing “Bike America“. So Nathan, next year ‘aight?. No messing about!
But next week, me and Quiddity are going on our own Great Adventure across England by foot. I can’t wait! I’m just BURSTING with anticipation!! But you’re all invited as I’ll be including you in on all the stories and pics taken along the way.
