<\/a>I’ve been out here in S\u00e3o Paolo for a while and keep meaning to write about it… we are together at last! For a month more at least. I love the culture out here — it’s beautiful. I love the sounds of Brazilian Portuguese all around me. I love his family so much. I’m really blessed to be out here.<\/p>\nSo we had Christmas dinner last night (Christmas Eve) around 10:30 pm and gave out gifts at midnight as is the custom. There are so many amazing customs here I keep meaning to write about and keep forgetting!!<\/p>\n
Brazil reminds me a lot of Cape Town. From what I’m hearing Rio is especially similar, and the beaches, though I haven’t been out there yet. I feel very at home in these surroundings and with such warm and affectionate people. My Portuguese is coming along slowly, but enough to get the gist of half the conversations going on around me.<\/p>\n
