The big pot was just lying around in the garden.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/pics\/kens-pond.jpg\" alt=\"kens pond\" class=\"oldblogthumb\" \/>The baby carp keep together in a tight pack and are very active. (<a href=\"javascript:CaricaFoto('\/downloads\/ken-fishies-1.jpg')\" rel=\"external\">photo<\/a>). Since it was setup he hasnt had to do anything to it, because its got its own thriving ecosystem. There is a healthy colony of bloodworm naturally growing in the pond, which the fish feed on, as well as mosquito larvae. The larvae eat the algae, the bloodworm eat the fish poo. The water is aerated by a cheap pump hidden at the back, which was lying around in the shed for the last few years.
