Amina was <a href=\"http:\/\/news.bbc.co.uk\/2\/hi\/africa\/2210783.stm\" rel=\"external\"><strong>sentenced to death by stoning<\/strong><\/a>, as soon as her baby girl has been weaned. Her crime: having a child out of wedlock in Nigeria. This will entail burying Amina up to her waist and stoning her until she is dead.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amnesty.org\/\" rel=\"external\">International human rights groups<\/a> have worked hard to raise the profile of this case and fighting for her rights as they did last year for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.afrol.com\/News2002\/nig015_safiya_free.htm\" rel=\"external\"><strong>Safiya Hussaini<\/strong><\/a>, who was finally aquitted.
