They’re so much cheaper these days, rechargable batteries have also gone way down in price, Your purchase will save you a lot of money over the years and we really could cut our Mother Earth some slack 🙂

The differences between rechargeable batteries

Not all rechargeable batteries are the same. You might want to know the difference between the different types before you shell out and think you’re getting a great deal on a battery that’s actually going to have you spending more time charging it than using it, or you might not get very many charges out of it before it dies on you. Also a lot of the older style batteries are more toxic to the environment than the newer kinds. Rechargeable batteries come in many different shapes and sizes, ranging from button cells to megawatt systems connected to stabilize an electrical distribution network. Several different combinations of chemicals are commonly used, including: lead–acid, nickel cadmium (NiCd), nickel metal hydride (NiMH), lithium ion (Li-ion), and lithium ion polymer (Li-ion polymer).

AllBattery.com seems to be the largest retailer for all types of batteries, and going through their categories you can quickly see the different types available, price differences, pros and cons of each type. I haven’t purchased any batteries from them yet because I always seem to find what I’m looking for for less on Amazon, and since I have Amazon Prime, I make sure to never pay for shipping.
