The music industry has come up with a simple strategy to combat illegal mp3 file sharing on the Internet: flood the file-sharing networks with files that appear to be copies of popular music, but that actually contain the wrong or altered information (spoofing), or jamming your bandwidth with multiple spoofed copies. Quite clever, but I think it’s time the music industry lightened-up and used file-sharing to their advantage in a promotional way. What are your views on mp3 file-sharing?
