IS IRAQ BETTER OFF?
It is too early to be jumping for joy for the ‘liberated’ Iraqis because we don’t yet know:

– How the US plans to hand over the country and to whom

– Whether the Iraqi culture will be squashed and destroyed in the process

– Whether the US actually intends to completely pull out of the country or to grab and sell off land, oil and whatever else its interested in. The rest of the world can do nothing to stop this from happening so it probably will.

– The real reasons the administration was so keen to fight this particular war, right now, instead of countless others, where they wouldn’t have needed to lie so much or falsify documents.

– The real death toll and ultimate costs which will only come out much later, likely to be kept secret for at least a generation.

– The horrific truth of what soldiers – suffering from mental trauma or giddy with GI Joe fantasies – did to civilians over the last 3 weeks and the mass slaughter caused by unnecessary cluster bombing, not to mention the crater left behind of a residential neighbourhood because one house possibly hid Saddam.

– How many more lives will be lost over the following decades to ammunition left all over the place and toxic environmental pollution due to their ‘state-of-the-art’ weapons, causing birth defects and suffering for generations. We know from past wars, the US won’t be cleaning up.

– How the US and the UK plan to economically fix up a country it is fully responsible for destroying and when it will actually hand over the tiny drop in the ocean of money it has generously allocated for rebuilding Iraq, if it’s handed over at all.

– And we all want to know… who’s next on the list. When will it end and at what cost?

IS THE WORLD BETTER OFF?
I wouldn’t worry about the future of Iraq and other countries if the US could be trusted. But it has such a horrific history of war atrocities, blatant lying, passing the blame, corruption and stealing. The US is blinded by its own hypocrisy. It is diseased with corruption and greed and it cant even smell its own flesh rotting. It has no moral grounds telling any country what is right or wrong. I have become tired of watching it admire itself, primping and flexing its gigantic muscles in front of the mirror and feeding on its self-importance, but I’ll just have to live with it. The US can do just as it pleases now because it is more powerful than ever before. It has been made clear that any country witless enough to stand up to the US will be crushed like a bug… the machine wont stop until all our voices have been silenced.

Bow down before the Great American New World Order.
