Brighton Festival: the lift on the beach
“Having been away at the weekend I popped down to the beach after work and saw the 5065 lift – a venue which is made out of a lift on the beach, near Geminis. It’s hosting various shows all day this week, from comedians to plays and musicians and other stuff. When I went there was a woman singing what appeared to be rather gloomy love song stuff to about six people. Some shows can be viewed by entering the lift itself – pretty claustraphobic, especially if the show’s crap!”
