Im so bored of cheap mass produced and ‘contemporary’ style throw-away-fad beds. We spend a third of our life sleeping – so why dont we invest more in a good night’s sleep? Our mattress was pricey, but it is incredibly comfy and will last many years. We are still sleeping with the mattress on the floor while we save up for a special bed to put under it.

Seventh Heaven have the most gorgeous restored antique beds. One day I hope to own one. I have my eye on the Green Upholstered Louis XVI Bed. Circa 1895. If only we could afford it. They even have a Chinese Marriage Bedstead, Circa 1830 and a really dramatic Chinese 4-poster bed. (These can all be seen under “Wooden Beds” – “Unusual & Exotic”).
