A tabby cat called Tigger is back at home after spending more than a month buried alive under a landslide.

A kitten has been found in a British Army tank after it arrived back in the UK from Iraq.

Her journey to the UK took six weeks and she survived the ordeal by eating bugs and lapping up condensation from the vehicle’s walls. Gracie’s handler Faith Grant, said: “She was just skin and bone when she arrived. It’s amazing that she survived at all, being so young. She was so tiny and we had to feed her milk through a syringe.” Gracie is called “the kitten of mass destruction” because she is so lively.

Fizzy the miracle cat‘Miracle cat’ settles into new home
A cat which was trapped for 17 days in a ship container from Israel has settled into its new home in Loughborough.

It’s believed Fizzy wandered into the metal container in Tel Aviv and survived the 3,000-mile trip by licking condensation from its walls. Fizzy had to spend six months in quarantine before she could be given to new owner Natasha Phair. Natasha is a former employee at SodaStream, the Peterborough factory where Fizzy ended up after his amazing voyage. The firm and its staff christened Fizzy and donated money to pay for her board while in quarantine. The RSPCA says Natasha has been visiting Fizzy each week in quarantine to get to know her.
