Alienware – “The Best Custom Built Gaming PC for the Ultimate PC Gamer!”

For years I’ve pined over the Alienware machines, dreaming of maybe one day touching one. Although I can’t really afford it, I thought to hell with it and bought one anyway. I desperately needed a laptop so I can work on-site as a freelancer and high-performance so that I dont out-grow it for a long time. Okay, the real reason is I’m sick of my games stuttering and locking up on my stupid PC. Ive battled with the same old thing for 4 years now.

Today my Saucer Silver Area-51 Extreme laptop arrived – a week early! I have named her Nikita. She is such a sexy beast, spec’d up to the max and runs at lightning speed. Quite heavy for a laptop, but I guess its all the bits that add to the weight. They do have ultra portable versions available too, but they just didnt do it for me.

There are so many cool features I didnt know about – like the remote control (for TV/DVD etc) and the alien eyes on the cover that glow different colours like PC lights. The 16.1″ display seems almost as big as the 19″ monitor I was working on before, and displays quite brightly from side-on view. The graphics cards are impressive and also upgradable.

I still think the desktop cases are their sexiest designs, but the laptops are also special.
