Fahrenheit 9/11
We went to see it last night at Duke of Yorks Picturehouse. It was better than I expected. There were a few shockers in it, and I didn’t expect to cry. I guess when its real lives and real hearthache.. its hard not to let it upset you. My favourite moment was right at the beginning – watching Bush prepare before he addressed the nation. He didnt speak, but his facial expressions said everything. There were some classic funny moments in the movie too.
Despite the hype and controversy around this movie, its still definitely worth seeing. Some people would argue that its not fair and balanced journalism, but Michael Moore himself said “I’m not trying to pretend that this is some sort of fair and balanced work of journalism.” Also, if any of his facts were untrue, Bushco would have strung him up by his balls in full public view by now. They are just *waiting* for him to put a foot wrong and make a public spectacle of him, because he is becoming increasingly annoying and is costing them votes. He’s bound to make a mistake eventually, but so far he has been very careful.
Of course, everything in the movie is stuff Bsti has been saying for years…
