AZ Woman Built Global Nonprofit from Garage
“Lisa Hopper of Tucson, Arizona dreamed of starting a nonprofit, but wasn’t sure what it would do. Then, on a trip to Guatemala, she noticed that schoolchildren lacked books and pencils, and decided to collect supplies to send to them. A decade later, the nonprofit she once ran from a table in a mall and a “warehouse” in her garage has become a major operation that distributes surplus school supplies, computers, clothes, and an array of other goods to needy people around the world.”
