Funky Nashville
Ooh this is SO catchy! I heard it for the first time on my new D500 and I can’t get the tune out of my head. Today I decided to find out more about the band and discovered to my amazement they’re Danish!! Mmmm and lead singer with the serious cowboy thing going has multiple talents – he designed the site too.
The video could make you long for roadtrips through the desert and cowgirls with big bowling balls.

Nooo… I don’r like it!
Make it stop!

That’s what I’m tawkin’ ’bout. Got to have the tight Wrangler jeans on a cute butt, too.
olivia
Hmm yes, there’s something about a real cowboy in a hat that really does it for me… especially the cute shy ones.
Mmmhmm
Cait
I agree with Nathan about country music. I really don’t like most of it. And it wasn’t any better “back in the day”. In fact, it was worse. Very twangy.
Oh, and, Olivia, one DOES have to wear a hat to be a cowboy. It doesn’t have to be a cowboy hat, but I’ve never met a cowboy who didn’t wear some sort of lid.
olivia
Yes, because while chocolate is very yummy, it makes me outrageously grumpy.
nathan
oh but yeah, adding country twang to other types of music typically rocks.
Just don’t trust anyone from Nashville.
Or LA.
Or Europe.
I wouldn’t trust anyone who works in the chocolate industry, either.

Hmmm…okay here’s my generalization for the month.
Country music is atrocious. You could literally swap lyrics in 98{a9f0d31f6175b3e4775e11a66c07db268fb74408d6095f6b46eeec420c0e9f62} of the songs and never notice the difference. Perhaps there was a day when country music was good, “back in the day” as they say, but like Rock and Roll, Punk Rock, Rap, Hip Hop, and basically every other kind of music that’s been around long enough for someone to make a video, they all suck.
I prefer to listen to karaoke remixes of “She’ll be comin’ round the mountain when she comes” and crank up the distortion on my refridgerator.
olivia
Wow Cait, that track is just dripping with country!
olivia
Oh yeah I agree! I just think the lead singer has a cowboy thing going. You dont have to wear the hat to be cowboy or sing country. Still, the first few times I heard the track and after I saw the video, it sounded very American, especially the guitar. I was totally stunned to find out they were Danish!
Cait
LOL. I like the video and the song, but it’s about as far from “cowboy” music as possible, except maybe rap. Now this is country.
