Mayhem!
London Bomb Attacks
The entire Tube network has been shut, injured and trapped passengers evacuated, many mainline services into London have been stopped and no buses are running in Zone One after at least seven coordinated blasts on the underground network and a double-decker bus in London.

The first attack was on a tube between Aldgate and Liverpool stations, the second was a suicide bombing on a double decker bus in Woburn Place, later on an underground train betwen Russel Square and Kings Cross, and the latest at Edgeware Road tube station.
I’ve been getting voicemails from worried friends but the cell networks are overloaded and jammed today. I was sound asleep when it all happened. Ken is safe and so is Bronwyn. I wish I could say the same for everyone else. I hear Brighton station has been closed and parts of Brighton may be evacuated later, but I plan to stay indoors unless I’m moved. I’d be very surprised if there was a bomb attack here…
I hope all of you, your friends and your families in London are safe.

Ah, thank goodness. How about others? Is everyone accounted for? It sounds as if the famous Brit resolve and courage came to the fore, just as it did during the blitz.

I am so glad that you are all okay! I’ve been so worried.

Shes fine! :@}

well i live in the centre lol…. but i diddnt hear or see nothing, my damn cellphone was going mad while i slept in…. eventually waking me up and pissed off, and awake i decided to switch on the tele…. then i started hearing the sirens and stuff and saw the news reports…. terrible… madness
on the good side of it all, i finally had a good excuse to stay put indoors the whole day and do little or nothing atall, without being frowned upon 😛

I’m sure Quiddity is fine. She lives way up North… but I’ll drop her an email and check.

If I’d known you were that close to London, I’d have been worried sick. I wonder about Quiddity. Have you heard from her? I saw that Fuschia Faery had written about the bombings, so she’s okay. I wish all this hatred could be resolved, but I honestly don’t see it happening in the near future. I can’t imagine wanting to kill people.

Interestingly all the bombs went off along the Piccadilly line, which has extremely deep underground stations. I wonder whether the plan was to cause the tunnels to collapse which would undermine the lowest foundations for the city above. The bus explosion was in the vacinity of the Piccadilly line, so I wonder whether the bomb went off by accident en route to another station, which would mean it wasn’t a suicide bomb.
Cap’n Marrrrrk
Glad you hear you are alright.

Thanks guys. St0nes I live this close. Brighton is also known as London by the sea.
I found out today that Pieter does frequent business trips into London every week. He was there 2 days ago. Thankfully not today.
A lot of people are walking home tonight from work, for hours. It’s not uncommon for people who work in London to commute for 2 hours or more each way by public transport every day. Imagine how long that takes by foot.

more importantly you and Ken are safe! how close were you to all this nonsense? damn terrorist always going around blowin’ shit up.

Such a tragedy! Thank goodness you’re safe, my first thought was to check in and make sure you were ~:) xoxo
