sybrand, i’m pretty sure that the evolution of feathers wasn’t until much later than you presume. i think that the museum scientists are just putting feathers and colors on them to make them more appealing to younglings. you know how they like cute puppets and colorful video games.

I’m glad you asked. They don’t know about colours, or fur, but they have found a lot of evidence for them having feathers.
So if you image T-Rex as a sort of giant turkey – you’re on the right track.
The probably grew feathers to survive in colder climates, and as a matter of fact, if you bothered getting your brain off it’s lazy ass and visited the london natural history museum, you can see the exhibit with Velociraptors covered in feathers.

I’ve always wondered about this too. And I bet those scientists have got it completely wrong, secure in the knowledge that they’ll probably never be able to be proved wrong. i reckon scientists make loads of things up. How can they prove all that ice-age, geology stuff. We can only relate things to what we know, if we have never experienced something we’re unlikely to think of it as a possibility. what if the earth was shaped by aliens experimenting with new technology, or if people were once telepathic or if the universe is just a big hoax?

Well, maybe in Pennsylvania, but here in Texas they were bigger than dinosaurs everywhere else, and looked a lot like the evolved Longhorn, which, of course, is why the University of Texas is the best school on the face of the earth. Okay, that and all the Nobel prize winners. But, I’m pretty sure that there were also some Texas dinosaurs that had pink ruffs and wore red hot pants, which just shows you that they weren’t all that fashion savvy, which may be why they’re extinct. Of course, those were probably the smaller dinosaurs. We’ve also found fossil remains, quite close to where we live, actually, of pumps with 3″ spike heels that were apparently worn by a breed of dinosaurs that could only be deemed (by even the most tolerant individuals) to have been reptiles of very loose morals. In fact, I believe certain accoutrements such as whips, collars, and chains were found nearby.

Most of the dinosaurs here in America are gold with purple spots, but didn’t you watch Jurassic Park? The dinosaurs they made for that movie were derived from actual dinosaur DNA – I think they used wheat germ, two blenders and a Pearl script, but that’s definitely what dinos used to look like before they went all metro.
