Well I did tell you we had something spectacular planned for Saturday night in Chicago and finally here are the photos!

Nykki’s mom spoilt us rotten and teated us to a spectacular cruize on the Odyssey at Navy Pier – a once in a lifetime experience I will never forget…

Seriously though… Nykki looked incredible and turned sooo many heads – definitely the belle of the ball. Here’s our table for two on the second deck, seated close to the panoramic windows. The views all around us were spectacular and a slick band was playing smooth jazz right next to us.

Complimentary champers on an empty tummy! We were so excited and felt so ridiculously lucky we couldnt stop squealing at each other with happiness!

Taken just before the unbelievably delicious and elegant four course meal. The waiters were amazing and whenever we left the table to do something we’d come back to find our table had been perfectly set again. The choices from the menu were so creative and amazing, and even included vegetarian dishes. We were served each course when we chose to have them… inbetween we could explore the different decks and dining areas, sit at the bar or dance at of the three dance floors on each deck. The barman made us the best frozen margheritas I have ever had.

I’ll never forget the views from the top deck. Seriously, that lake is so large we couldn’t see the other side… it really felt like I was in the middle of the ocean.

The night was still young so we caught a cab downtown. We arrived at a club called Cherry Red and one of the bouncers said, “Wow! I wish all women would dress up like this to go out.” I won’t tell you what Nykki said. Haha! The owner was such a sweetie – he walked us in, escorted us to the bar area and asked us what we’d like to drink. For the rest of the night we could have any drinks we liked on him. I invented and tried out lots of weird vodka combinations. One of the bouncers bought us two rounds which was really sweet, but I thought it was pretty funny that the barman didn’t tell him the drinks were on the house that night. I got some chewing gum stuck to the bottom of my shoe.

Near the end of the night this girl threw up about 3 litres of pure alcohol right next to us over about 10 minutes. She felt so much better afterwards. Luckily I had my bare feet up on the couch but I have a feeling my shoes got a bit of backsplash. Right before Nykki snapped this photo the guy with the mop exclaimed excitedly, “Boy! I really love my job!!!”. Lucky for him there were no food chunks.

We gatecrashed a private party area and took this photo. About 5 seconds later the girl who’s birthday it was came rushing up to us and said, “Oh my gosh! You girls are so hot! Please can my friend take a photo of me with the two of you?” Nykki is pretty sure the friend was more of a girlfriend.

It was a strange, decadent and wonderful night.
