Riverside walk piccies

This is Winston – feeling a little overwhelmed by the photographic limelight and wet sand, having just been torn from his clutch to his moms proud bosom.

That’s downtown Portland in the distance.

The route we didn’t take…

Trails and flying pigtails.

4-Month-old Wilbur gets a proper fussing.

A closely spooning couple and their bike take a nap in the treeshade… a little while later he sleepily nudges her tshirt up a bit and lays his head on her bare belly. I don’t know why, but I felt sad. Around that time I took a snap of my barely footed flipflop and texted it to someone I miss badly.

we’ve walked that river shore many times in the past few years and that was the first time I ever saw anyone there with their pet rat. How I wish I weren’t so allergic to rats!
ken
what do you mean you hope you see him on the next walk?
was he just running around wild?

that looks like such a sunny summer good time – and such brightly colored clothing, who’d have imagined that such a festival of happiness was throwing down just miles north of me…
