Get ready for it! Tomorrow morning Mercury turns retrograde in Taurus, turning all things to do with communications, travel, and their related cousins into a complete clusterfuck. The breakdowns that occur are because of neglect, inattention, simple misunderstandings or component failure. They will often bring to the mind the very contingency we should have planned for—and didn’t.

The most affected signs are the fixed signs like Taurus – Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius (that’s me!). The tail end began about a week ago, so if you were wondering why your hard-drive crashed with the only copy you had of those important documents, you lost your passport the day before youre about to fly, your car broke down in the middle of nowhere, a friend hugely misunderstood you causing a huge uproar, or a series of impossibly frustrating events have taken place, you can thank the little trickster Mercury. It usually comes around 3 times a year, but this year we have been blessed with 4 visits! And we will be stuck with the mayhem until May 11 when Mercury goes direct, with things finally straightening out from the mess caused on May 28th.

An example of a typical Mercury Retrograde event happened to my friend Juliet last year:

“Last time this happened I ran out of money in Miami due to a bank error, the taxi to the Western Union caught on FIRE, finally had enough money for travel to the airport — but then that cab got caught in traffic on the way, he drove on the shoulder for about 3 miles to get me there —- once there i had to beg the airlines to let me check in 28 minutes before my flight. soooooo….i know a thing or two about the tricks mercury plays…”
